FAQs

What should I look for when selecting a company?

Choose a company with a proven track record and multiple local refences. Make sure you are getting high quality product and certified/trained installers.

Why should I pay someone to do my floor instead of using a DIY kit?

Many of our customers gave it a go once or twice with some form of DIY kit before they called us. Kits are designed for ease of installation, not performance. The Up Armor Coatings process guarantees a product which lasts a minimum of 15 years. No DIY kit can say that!

How are your products different from other products on the market?

The patented products we use and are certified to install each have their place. Our Polyurea/Polyaspartic is designed to be 4X stronger than epoxy while remaining flexible to endure our harsh Montana winters. The epoxy we use indoors has additives which bring out deeper colors and force bubbles out to ensure a mirror finish. The stains penetrate deeply into concrete pores to provide rich/vibrant colors and even our simple sealers are engineered to become a physical part of the concrete. Whatever your project, it's meant to last.

How is your preparation different from other companies?

Installing using the best equipment and techniques in the industry with a military veteran's eye for detail, we ensure the most vital step is done right. We are able to warranty our floors because we use proper practices to guarantee they will not fail.

What is the best way to determine whether a coating will last?

A moisture reading and thorough substrate preparation will ensure the bond between floor and coating will withstand the test of time.

Can you fix the cracks in my floor?

Yes. Depending upon the size of crack and type of coating/stain/seal to be used we will employ different materials as best fits the situation.

How long does it take to install a floor ?

Depends. Polyurea/Polyaspartic coatings can typically be completed in just one day including crack repairs. While stain with crack repairs can be a month as we wait for the repairs to cure, but we're only in your home for 2 of those days. Whatever it is, we take the time to get it right.

Will an Up Armor Coatings floor prevent future stains?

A properly installed, high quality coating system should be impervious to oil, grease, mud, road salts, and nearly everything in between.

Will my epoxy floor look exactly like the sample?

No. Achieving the marbleized look requires a personal touch to each project. So while the sample is a great representation, no one else will ever have a floor quite like yours.
